She had survived two years within the underground crime life of Hell's Kitchen. She had survived fights to the death and other forms of torture. While Katniss doesn't have Matt's special abilities, she knows she wouldn't be the first vigilante in this world without unusual gifts. She's seen the news footage. Hawkeye and the Black Widow appear normal enough and they're both in the Avengers. Katniss would like to think that would give her a fighting chance out here.

But while she has some faith in her physical abilities, it's entirely different when it comes down to her emotional capabilities or her worthiness. Matt often more than makes up for that. He provides her the faith in who she is that she would otherwise lack. And the pride.

"Okay," she says, already cleaning up the debris while Matt moves the body. She carries the fallen bricks and rocks to the other side of the vent, out of view from the entrance. "Do you need help tying him up?"
