[Whether or not being around this girl is supposed to make one feel better, at the very least, she certainly provides enough of a distraction. And it's kind of nice. It gives Katniss a chance not to focus on her nightmares. Not to focus on her sadness. Instead, she tries to puzzle out this girl's confusing background.
