[Why does she sing? When she was younger, it was never something she questioned. Her father sang, her father hunted. Therefore, Katniss sang and hunted. She learned everything her father had to taught her, emulated him in every way possible. And it was fun. It was oh so much fun to sing and watch everyone admire the otherwise invisible girl.

She had stopped when her father died. There was no more time for frivolities. The memories had become unwanted. Sometimes she'd sing at night, a lullaby to Prim when her sister needed it. But it wasn't until in the Games again, until Rue had wanted her to sing as the girl had laid dying, that she really began to value her voice again.

And now that was gone.

Why?]
