[A losing war. A dead sister. Betrayal, assassinations. He is not unfamiliar with war. He knows loss. But the way she describes it is so full of despair. Without hope. A campaign of failure.

He knew the taste of that all too well. But to lose her sister, Sokka can't imagine it.

Where is the upside to all this? Her sister dies, the world is in a brutal war, and there's so little hope. But...]


Whatever reason? Living is a good enough one, isn't it? All of that sounds terrible. But it's still worth living. You didn't do it. I don't really understand the world you're from and I'm not much of an optimist, but life's worth living, even if it's not a good one.
