[The camp isn't much. The shelters are not tents, but are, rather, fabric stretched taut over poles, covering over on the tops. Spare crates-- probably taken from the Item Shop in the middle of the night when there was no one to stop her-- makes seats. There's a fire pit, and a backpack near a crate of basic supplies.

Its look and its proximity to the lake might call its purpose to mind for Katniss before she ever sees the girl sitting there.

It's a Career camp. As close a replication as the one from the 74th Games as could be made with Luceti supplies.

And there is the Career, on one knee with the other leg out stretched. She is not rising more than her half-kneel-- but she is poised to do so. The look of a girl who heard someone approaching and is as ready as Katniss to attack if it proves to be an enemy. One knife is at the ready. Every sense in her is baying for blood. Some fresh, real horror to drive out the false memories.

But she is frozen at the sight of the other girl.]
